ACTIVE CARBON CARTRIDGE

The Sankalp ActiFlo carbon cartridge series represents the latest advancement in carbon filtration technology, manufactured through an innovative extrusion process. These cartridges offer an extended service life and superior adsorption performance compared to traditional granular activated carbon cartridges, with minimal fines. Featuring a robust carbon block structure with high mechanical strength and low ash content, they effectively prevent issues such as channeling, bypassing, fluidizing, or unloading of carbon fines.

To ensure the longevity of the activated carbon layer, Sankalp ActiFlo carbon cartridge filters incorporate an efficient pre-filtration layer designed to intercept gels and large particles. Utilizing premium-grade coconut shell extruded carbon blocks, these cartridges can be customized in length and end cap configuration to meet the specific requirements of various process applications.

Operation

Upon installation of the Sankalp ActiFlo carbon cartridge, it may contain minimal carbon fines (fine black powder). Prior to using the water, it's advisable to flush the new cartridge with ample water to eliminate any traces of fines from your water system. A recommended flushing duration of at least 20 seconds is advised before water usage. The estimated capacity of the cartridge is tested under specific conditions, including a given flow rate and 2ppm free available chlorine, resulting in over 90% reduction. It's important to note that higher flow rates may lead to less effective chlorine reduction. Micron ratings are determined based on achieving an 85% removal of the specified particle size.
